Our feed research considers nutritional composition and processing within the same framework. Alongside the inclusion of an ingredient, we examine its behaviour during grinding, baking or extrusion. The target animal group and the intended use of the product provide the starting point.
MEVLİ’s research history spans feed development for canaries and cage birds, egg-based foods and pilot facilities. Later projects investigated food resource reuse in dog feed production and extruded feed development for racing and show pigeons. Our Projects page describes the four studies and their completion periods individually.
The questions guiding our R&D include mixture flow properties, the relationship between processing and product structure, and the use of different resources in feed production. We consider findings within the scope of each study, focusing on the relationship between formulation and processing conditions.
